CBS today announced its decision to cease broadcasting the Imus in the Morning radio program, effective immediately, on a permanent basis.
"From the outset, I believe all of us have been deeply upset and revulsed [sic] by the statements that were made on our air about the young women who represented Rutgers University in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship with such class, energy and talent," said CBS President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie Moonves, in announcing the decision." My Take on this Turkey: ...and $20 million dollars later in a legal settlement, the I-Man is ready to join WABC-AM to do mornings. CBS: the same company (as Infinity) that yanked Opie & Anthony off-the-air and paid them to sit on their butts for a couple of years after their Sex in St Patrick's Cathedral stunt while at WNEW-FM. At CBS, money apparently grows on trees. Duh.
