10. Armed and Agitated Man Breaks Glass Doors at Radio Stations

The Clear Channel radio stations in Modesto, California were the target of an agitated man who smashed the glass doors of the building and burst in. The man, Dustin Martinez, 26, was arrested by police but not before he encountered some station employees. Martinez was armed with two knives, a separate hunting knife, and a pocket folding knife. 9. Radio Personality Shoots Dog, Bullet Hits Wife

43-year-old radio personality, Shannon Burke shot at his dog and hit his wife. Burke, from the "Shannon Burke Show" on WTKS, was having an argument with his wife about the dog and how to care for it when he threatened to shoot it with his gun. He pulled the trigger and a .40 caliber bullet went through the dog's leg and then hit is wife, Catherine, in the head. Read More.

At the Maine State Prison in Warren, Maine, the inmates were demanding radios for their cells. According to bangordailynews.com, "One striker, Jesse Baum, was quoted on The Portland Phoenix Web site as saying most states recognize the need to have a TV or radio in order 'to keep sane' in solitary confinement." Kyle Sandilands, a highly-rated Australian morning radio host, has lost his judge job on Australian Idol According to foxnews.com: "[Sandilands]...was fired and his radio show taken off the air after a lie-detector stunt in which he questioned a 14-year-old girl about her sexual activity and she revealed that two years earlier she'd been raped."
