A Man For All Media

It's been quite good ride for Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor who ran for president in 2008. His likability factor, political knowledge, and communication prowess landed him a weekly show on Fox News Channel in 2008, book deals, and a nationally syndicated daily radio feature, The Huckabee Report. Huckabee's daily feature, which began January 5, 2009, is now heard on about 600 radio stations and is syndicated by Cumulus Media Network.

The Huckabee Report is a commentary feature which airs three times-a-day (morning, midday, and afternoon) and covers the political landscape, issues related to politics, and other topical news stories. Cumulus Media Network describes it as "... a daily helping of the very latest news, presented with the wry humor and informed, insider commentary that have made Gov. Mike Huckabee one of the most popular new media voices of the 21st century."

If you can't hear it where you live over traditional radio, via podcast, or on demand at radio.mikehuckabee.com. You can also download each day's audio once you open up the on-site player.

Expanding From Minutes to Hours

It was after Huckabee filled in for the late Paul Harvey in July, 2008 that he was offered the opportunity to do The Huckabee Report by ABC Radio Networks (now Cumulus Media Networks).

The Huckabee Report has proven to be a great setup for Huckabee's next move. Now, the Governor is parlaying that success into a full-time radio gig.

The Mike Huckabee Show will begin April 2, 2012 and be heard from Noon until 3 p.m. ET, the same time Rush Limbaugh's radio program airs. Cumulus says it will market the Huckabee show as an alternative to Limbaugh. The show will also be syndicated by Cumulus Media Network.

"My first job at the age of 14 was reading the early morning news, sports, weather and even commercials at our local radio station, so in a sense, this is an opportunity for me to return to my roots," said Governor Huckabee upon his return to radio. "I worked my way through high school and college in radio and loved every minute of it."
