Dateline: 08/04/05

By Corey Deitz, About.com

Portions of Howard Stern's future radio shows will now be seen on "On Demand", "...a subscription video on demand television offering that will be available from multiple television service providers," according to Indemand.com.

Indemand.com says subscribers will be able to view more than 20 hours each month of segments extracted from Stern's daily radio program.

Indemand.com declined to state what the exact subscription price for the new Stern offering will be, only to say it would be announced when the programming was actually available.

InsideRadio.com reports: "In Demand Networks will edit his daily radio show down to 60 to 90 minutes and offer it to subscribers the next day - with none of the pixellated-out female body parts now seen on the E! basic cable show."

Indemand.com also noted, "You can choose to activate the parental control feature that your television provider offers to limit access to the programming by young kids and others in your household for which it might be inappropriate."

Actuall start date for the new Stern programming was simply stated as "later this year".
