You can actually open a free account which allows you to store about 4 hours of high-def video, 2,000 MP3s or 10,000 digital photos. This freebie allows others to download up to 100Mb per month. With the free account there is a storage limitation of 10 Gigabytes.

Plans increase in price and size from there.

The basic plan provides you with unlimited storage of your files and the ability for users to download up to 1 Gigabytes/month for $4.95/month.

For $9.95, the download limit increases to 10 Gigabytes per month with unlimited storage of your files on their server.

Several other plans increase in price and the bandwidth allowed for downloads.

You can designate files as either private or public so you can not only store personal files in your account but those you want the public to have access to for downloads, such as podcast subscribers.
