SIRIUS Satellite Radio Now Really Portable With "Stiletto 100"

SIRIUS Satellite Radio has finally unveiled its long-awaited portable receiver, the Stiletto 100. This is the company’s first live portable radio which also has the ability to save content for later playback.

Stiletto 100, available this month, will let users listen to live programming almost anywhere and allows users to store up to 100 hours of the service's content.

Subscribers can choose to automatically record audio from SIRIUS channels, schedule recordings of up to 6-hours in length or save up to 10 hours of individual songs from live SIRIUS broadcasts by pressing what SIRIUS calls a “love” button.

The Stiletto 100 features WiFi capability for connection to SIRIUS’ Internet radio services, a feature useful for listening anywhere an accessible WiFi network is available.

The user’s own MP3/WMA files can also be stored on the Stiletto 100 and managed with included Windows-compatible software.

The Yahoo! Music Jukebox™ software is included with the Stiletto 100 package. The application allows users to look up and purchase songs, full albums, or explore artists’ other offerings. Once the song is purchased or rented, it can be transferred onto the Stiletto 100.
