Question: I have been wondering if it's possible to somehow download the Sirius shows and other radio shows I like onto my ipod, but as soon as I start to read about this stuff, my eyes start to glaze over and I lose it completely can you tell me if this is at all possible, and how one goes about doing it? I can push buttons, but I don't know what they hell they do, so I suppose I'm somewhat technically illiterate. Thanks for any help you can give me Carol
Answer: Actually, theres a very easy solution to this from a product called TimeTrax. According to the product's website: TimeTrax lets you record XM and SIRIUS broadcasts including music, talk, news, sports, comedy and more. Content is stored on your hard drive as individual MP3s (or any other of six file formats), ready for a CD-R, your MP3 player or to enjoy right on your computer.
The TimeTrax system allows you to plug an XM or SIRIUS Satellite radio into the TimeTrax adapter which in turn connects to your computer via a USB port.
The TimeTrax website says TimeTrax is currently only compatible with the XM PCR, XM Direct, and Sirius Connect Radios. TimeTrax is not currently compatible with online streaming, the SkyFi, or the MyFi.
TimeTrax offers various price options beginning with just its software to kits that contain XM or SIRIUS radios, adapters, cords, and more.
