Born: in Philadelphia in 1948 and raised in San Diego where he went to public school.
Beginnings: Graduated with honors from Yale University and then graduated from Yale Law School. He has worked as a screenwriter, CNN movie reviewer, film critic for the New York Post, hosted "Sneak Previews" on PBS, has written several books. In the early '90s, he substituted on the "Rush Limbaugh" program a couple of dozen times. That led to a full-time gig at 570 KVI, Seattle in 1996.
Syndication: Syndication began in 1998 and he is now heard in 140 markets.
Claim to Fame: He was classmates with Bill and Hillary Clinton.
