Beginnings: Feldman attended and graduated from University of Wisconsin in 1970. He taught at Malcolm Shabazz Alternative High School in Madison for a short time. Then, in 1978 he began working at radio station WORT, first in the evenings, then doing the morning show.
After a couple of years, Feldman quit radio to drive a cab. He quit that some time later and wound up on Wisconsin Public Radio, doing a weekly show on Saturdays at noon, called "High Noon". Several other shows followed until Feldman was hired at WGN/Chicago to do afternoon drive.
In 1984, he was fired and went back to Wisconsin Public Radio in 1985.
Odd Claim to Fame: While doing his program, "High Noon", he referred to himself as ""the fastest Mike in the Midwest."
