Radio: Kirby Wilbur began his Radio career in 1993. Wilbur had been a regular caller to KVI-AM in Seattle. KVI Program Director, Paul Duckworth, liked how Wilbur sounded on-the-air and was asked to audition.
Wilbur subsequently began work as a substitute host. He later moved into an evening position and eventually was promoted to the morning shift, 5-9AM.
In July, 2003, Wilbur signed a new 3-year contract which at the time made him one of the longest running morning show hosts in Seattle.
Who Would Have Thought It: Kirby was working as a real estate appraiser when he was first approached to audition for KVI-AM.
