Born: Strasbourg, France

Beginnings: Began his career in 1977 at WBAI-FM, New York City, a listener supported Radio station where he became known for the program "In The Dark".

Frank co-anchored "All Things Considered" on National Public Radio in 1978.

From 1979 to 1985 Frank wrote award-winning dramas for NPR Playhouse.

In 1986, Frank moved to KCRW-FM, Los Angeles

In 1993, Frank changed the name of his weekly program to "In The Dark" which he hosted until 1995.

In 1995, he began hosting "Somewhere Out There" until January, 1996. In 1997, Frank left Radio.

He returned in 1999 with a new show called "The Other Side" which lasted on KCRW until 2002.

Claims to Fame: Frank has published several plays and written a book based on his Radio work entitled "The Queen of Puerto Rico and Other Stories".

Awards: Frank has received numerous awards including a George Foster Peabody Award and 2 Major Armstrong Awards.
