Personal: John Calvin Batchelor was born 1948 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He was graduated from Princeton University in 1970 and is also a 1976 graduate of Union Theological Seminary

Beginning in March, 2003 Batchelor began in syndication through ABC Radio Networks. This continued through 2006. After a couple of years hiatus, Batchelor returned to WABC/New York in October, 2007 and some other affiliates. Now, Batchelor does a 7-day-a-week show from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. on WABC.

Books: Batchelor has written several books including 1996's Ain't You Glad You Joined the Republicans? and The Birth of the People's Republic of Antarctica, a novel from 1983.
