Radio 2007: What Happened During The Past Year In Radio
As I do at the end of every year I present what I think were the top news stories that made a difference in Radio, both Old Radio (AM/FM) and New Radio (Satellite, Internet, Cell Phone). In addition this year, I have also selected an additional 10 Notable Events.
2007 was a relatively quiet year when it came to pranks, stunts, hoaxes, and contests mostly because of a contest tragedy which began the year and cast a shadow over much of the rest of it. After a woman in Sacramento, California, died from water intoxication after participating in a contest to win a Wii game console, the business took a step back. See other notables from the past year.

Every year at this time I give you my opinion of the Top 10 Turkey Moments in Radio for the year. These are moments of stupidity, dumbness, bad calls, awkwardness, failed stunts, contests, and more. Well, here's the list for 2007 and as usual, it was hard paring it down to just 10.
Time again for my compilation of what I think are the Top 10 Scary Radio Stories from the year. Between bomb threats to the BBC, a contest killing a listener, a DJ almost killing himself, a contest winner dying from his prize, and a radio personality eating a dog on-the-air , it's been a heck of an interesting year.
