July 3 - Eight gunmen on motorcycles attacked Rolando Morales, 43, from station KXMD. His body contained 15 bullets.

July 6 - Bidding ended on eBay for Matthew Johnson's shares of radio station KTOZ-AM. Johnson, from Houston, said the auction ended with no actual bids - although 35 people showed some sort of interest.

July 11 - Inside Radio reported the wife of Don Geronimo from the syndicated Radio team of Don & Mike was killed in a 10-car pileup near Ocean City, Maryland. The show went on that afternoon - without Don.

July 10 - According to reports, Indonesian cops arrested a former radio announcer who called a radio news station to report a deadly car bombing. It was a hoax.

July 10 - MLive.com reported: Jerome Ratajczak was killed when "...a sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old crossed the center line of Honey Creek Avenue and slammed into Ratajczak's vehicle, killing him. The teen later told police he was adjusting his radio while on his way to work."

July 14 - KFMB.com reported: "A listener is suing a radio station she said promised her a new Hummer H2 and instead gave her a remote-controlled model as an April Fools' Day prank..."

July 19 - Howard Stern revealed comedian Adam Carolla and ex-rocker David Lee Roth would take over his morning time slot.
