In Singapore, DJ Sheikh Haikel was fired and another was suspended for “sexual vulgarity”. According to Gulf-Daily-News.com, "a student phoned the DJs asking for advice on how best to approach a girl he liked. Sheikh told the caller "to ask the girl whether she was wearing white panties" and what she looked like under her school uniform." Full Story

The Ironton Tribune reported the arrest of James "Rhino" Reinhardt, 50, on stalking and burglary charges. Reinhardt was employed by WRYV-FM, Gallipolis, Ohio, also known as "101.5 The River". Full Story

Billy Wayne Miles called KMCM-FM in Odessa Texas asking for a request. After 3 tries with no success, he made another call: a bomb threat. Miles was charged with a felony. Full Story

Uganda fined a radio station $1,000 after it allowed a talk show to discuss homosexuality.

October 21

Lee "Crazy Cabbie" Mroszak, a regular guest on Howard Stern’s show, blabbed on the air about avoiding his income taxes. Somebody must have been listening from the IRS because they brought him up on charges.

Wolverhampton, England: After running down a 16-year-old boy, a man confessed to the hit-and-run by calling a radio sports/talk show. The man, who called himself “Paddy”, said afterwards that he washed the boy's blood from the front of his car.
