Eric Harthen from WKQI-FM’s “Mojo in the Morning” show in Detroit duped the Governor of Michigan into thinking Arnold Schwarzenegger had called her. After a while she figured out the prank – and actually took it pretty well.

June 21

Irish presenter (DJ) Jim-Jim Nugent, from Dublin-based radio station FM104 called Britney Spears, pretending to be actor Colin Farrell. Nugent almost tricked Spears into admitting she slept with him.

July 4

Teapot Tim from WIHT-FM covered himself in foam padding and let listeners set off fireworks on him. He wasn’t injured but another person suffered minors burns - and then the cops showed up.

July 20

British radio presenter, Kevin Huffer, made the mistake of continuing to collect unemployment compensation even after he went back to work at Radio Solent, a regional BBC station in Southhampton, England. He admitted to fraud and was punished by the legal system.

July 20

A reporter for Radio 702, Regan Thaw, was readying a report from a news event when a thief held a gun to his head and demanded his cell phone and other belongings. The station missed the report.
