In Laurel, Mississippi a single-engine Cessna airplane plowed into gospel station WEEZ-AM’s tower, killing the pilot. Amazingly, the station never went off the air.

The Philadelphia Flyers were checked into a downtown Toronto hotel for a next day game. The morning show at 102.1 FM, The Edge sent someone to goaltender Robert Esche’s room at 5 a.m. to knock on the door pretending to be from room service. He didn’t mind so much but the team General Manager was furious.

Police in Henderson, Texas say Teresa Wolfe’s husband, William, tried to kill her by knocking a radio into the bathtub she was in. She lived and he was charged with attempted murder.
