Humphrey: New collaborations will be formed to help keep the economy of scale within reasonable limits. These new groups will become at first loosely organized networks. These networks will become arbiters of distribution. A synergy of technologies is taking place before our eyes. The emergence of the Internet has given a cheaper means for distribution.

RSS, mp3 players, mobile phone technologies, wifi, satellite communications all are merging. Podcasting as it is currently structured will not last - but merge into a unified system of distribution of content into a emerging wireless world. I can't even imagine what new technologies will arise in the next 50 years. What I do know is that the desire for free expression of ideas will not die, there are just to many extremely talented people in the world. Just listen to some of the podcast, there are some really ingenious, funny, gifted, and talented programs. While the methods of distribution may change the desire for expression will not.

Radio Guide: What do you have planned for the future of Radio Memories?

Humphrey: The plans for Radio Memories Network in the future will be to increase our quality, increase our network of host programs, develop a Webradio streaming presence, develop a advertising exchange program, and explore syndication through all means available.
