Part of what I do here at Radio.about.com is teach. I've developed articles and email courses to help others learn how to do such things as create an Internet Radio station, edit audio, create a Podcast, create a radio show, and more.
And just to prove that just because I do teach, it doesn't mean I can't do - I've decided to start my own Podcast. It's called "The Radio Radio Show" and it's a Podcast devoted solely to all aspect of Radio that I find interesting.
There are several reasons for this Podcast. Besides the personal satisfaction of creating a show about a subject I'm passionate about, I thought others could benefit from not only the ongoing content of the show but mechanics of it. That's why with each new show, I include programming and technical comments for those who are either starting their own Podcast or thinking about it.
Technically, "The Radio Radio Show" is a private project, separate from Radio.about.com. But, since it will have so much to do with what I do here, I've concluded there is no reason why I shouldn't alert site visitors to its creation and future shows.
The first show is now ready: I speak with Steve Karr from HitzRadio.com about the Internet Radio station he works for. If you're been thinking of creating your own Internet station, this would be a good investment of 16 minutes of your time.
