The new release allows users to stream more than 300 radio stations from the Clear Channel lineup including special artist-created stations hosted by the likes of Christina Aguilera, Weezer and Eagles’ Joe Walsh.
In addition, iheartradio users can access traffic reports on-demand from several major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and Houston.
Version 2.2 of iheartradio will now set a station to play automatically when the application is launched and the developers say the app now offers "higher performance" and "better stability".
Clear Channel Radio says the average iheartradio user now listens to over 100 minutes of radio programming each week via the application.
