Software Apps - applications - are making it easy to receive Internet streams, traditional AM and FM radio, and other audio content on your iPad. The newer iPad tablet computer is somewhere in between a laptop and an iPhone but people seem to like it and welcome more applications that push its limits. As far as listening to radio, yeah they got an app for that - or two.

SiriusXM Satellite Radio - SiriusXM offers an iPad app that streams 120 channels. Features include a "favorite channels" option and "lookaround" "for checking out tracks that are playing on a channel other than the one being listened to," says techshout.com. Visit this page at SiriusXM.

TuneIn Radio for the iPad - RadioTime offers its TuneIn Radio app in an iPad version. It features an interface that fills the iPad's screen display and allows users to listen to live streams and podcasts in the background while browsing the Web. The iPad version can also serve as a DVR for radio letting users record, pause, and rewind radio. TuneIn Radio is available now.
