"On The Radio" by Donna Summer - This hit song talks about the ability radio has to evoke memories and feelings and how it can serve as a common denominator in relationships. This version is a live performance from 1983.
Someone found a letter you wrote me, on the radio
And they told the world just how you felt
It must have fallen out of a hole in your old brown overcoat
They never said your name
But I knew just who they meant.

"Radio Message" by R. Kelly - This video from 2010 begins with a deejay doing a contest for concert tickets then segues into a listener on the phone grabbing a moment of air time to send a message to the one he loves.
This is a radio message to my baby
And I'm begging her, come back, come back
Come back, come back, come back.

"Video Killed the Radio Star" - by the Buggles - This is a strikingly odd but catchy song from 1979 which notably featured the lead singer's voice equalized to sound like it might have been coming out of an old radio. It laments the career of a singer who's radio career was infringed on by the coming of television. "Video Killed the Radio Star" was the first video played when MTV signed on-the-air August 1, 1981.
I heard you on the wireless back in 52
lying awake intent a tuning in on you
if I was young it didn't stop you coming through.
