"Splitting its morning strategy by regions, former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth will take over Stern’s slot in New York on WXRK-FM and other east coast markets, while TV personality Adam Carolla will host mornings in Los Angeles on KLSX-FM...[and] air on KIFR-FM (formerly KEAR-FM) in San Francisco, KPLN-FM in San Diego, KZON-FM in Phoenix, KUFO-FM in Portland, Ore., and KXTE-FM in Las Vegas."
BillboardRadioMonitor also reports "In several Midwest markets, Infinity has tapped local host Rover, currently morning host on WXTM-FM in Cleveland and WAZU-FM in Columbus. Rover will add to his roster of stations WCKG-FM in Chicago, which will become the host’s new flagship, along with WKRK-FM in Detroit, WAQZ-FM in Cincinnati, WMFS-FM in Memphis and WZNE-FM in Rochester."
Stern's current parent company, Infinity, has also announced it is rolling out a new format called FREE FM. Here's how the company describes it at InfinityBroadcasting.com:
FREE FM is a new format created by Infinity that features an eclectic mix of personalities whose distinct creativity, perspective, sense of humor, intellect and unpredictability do not fall under the guiding principles of any particular narrowcast theme or ideology. An entertaining hybrid of provocative, political, pop culture, news, music and lifestyle formats, Infinity's next generation of FM stations are personified by their conviction, passion, originality, fearlessness and innovation, which are not heard anywhere else on the radio.
