Radio: Derbyshire was a radio reporter at BRMB/Birmingham and BBC CWR/Coventry, before producing and presenting her own show - "Victoria Derbyshire's Lunchtime Show" - on CWR in 1994. She then returned home to Manchester to present BBC GMR's Breakfast Show in 1995.
She joined Radio Five Live in 1998, and made her debut as a television presenter for BBC ONE's daytime show, "The Club" in 1999. She also presented "Late Night London" and "Central Weekend", both studio debate shows for ITV.
From 1998, Victoria Derbyshire co-presented, with Julian Worricker, BBC Radio 5 Live's early morning program "Five Live Breakfast".
In October, 2003, it was announced that Victoria would move to the mid-morning show beginning Summer, 2004.
She is currently hosting the midday show on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Awards: In 1999, she won the Television and Radio Industries Club Award for a Radio Program (BBC Radio 5 Live's early morning program "Five Live Breakfast") and a Sony Bronze Broadcaster of The Year Award in 2001.
