Evans originally joined KMLE in 1989 and remained on-the-air for 19 years. Prior to that Evans worked at WJEZ and WFYR in Chicago and KIMN and KSYY in Denver.
Claim to Fame: Before leaving KMEL in 2009, Evans had the longest-running show in Phoenix radio.
Community: Evans has served as a telethon host for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, devotes time to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and is a frequent host for KAET Channel 8 PBS membership drives. In his free time, he performs stand-up comedy and acts in local theater productions.
Awards: Evans was named "Air Personality of the Year" by both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music.
