Users of AOL's Internet radio services can now tune in to over 175 stations of programmed music from their home stereos through the NETGEAR Wireless Digital Music player.
NETGEAR's Wireless Digital Music Player (MP101) connects your existing home stereo to your home computer network so you can listen to your MP3 and Windows Media(R) format digital music files.
The NETGEAR Wireless Digital Music Player is compatible with 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network, and automatically finds all your music files by title, artist, album, genre or playlist on any networked PC.
Through a firmware upgrade offered on the NETGEAR website http://www.netgear.com, existing and future MP101 consumers are now able to listen to over 175 of Radio@AOL's commercial-free music stations.
"NETGEAR is pleased to enable customers to enjoy even more digital entertainment wirelessly," said Vivek Pathela, NETGEAR Director of Consumer Products. "The combination of AOL's premium audio services with NETGEAR's Digital Music Player, complete with Digital 5 software, offers an easy-to-use and affordable way for customers to listen to a wide variety of digital content from anywhere in the house."
AOL members who own the NETGEAR MP101 will have unlimited access to the Radio@AOL service at no additional fee. Non-members can take advantage of a limited free trial.
