Radiosophy™ LLC has begun shipping the MultiStream™ HD Radio. Radiosophy says this product is the first transportable table-top receiver and handles multiple digital streams as well as all existing radio station signals.

The receiver can be removed from its speaker-base dock and taken from room to room or to the car or boat (adapter kit required).

External connections for existing audio systems include: optical out, stereo RCA out or stereo mini-jack. The full function clock-radio will receive standard analog AM/FM radio signals as well as multiple streams that digital stations are broadcasting.

Included with the MultiStream HD are external AM/FM antennas for better reception.

Scrolling text information, such as song titles, artist name, traffic updates, news alerts, weather forecasts, etc. is displayed on a large LCD display.

A USB port has been added to the receiver to allow easy updates of the software via the Internet.

The MultiStream HD retails for $269.
