#7 - Former Radio Reporter Ron Kirk Sentenced to Prison

According to mercurynews.com: "Former radio station KZST reporter and news anchor Ron Kirk Kuhlmeyer was sentenced to six years in state prison this morning in Sonoma County Superior Court for committing three or more lewd and lascivious acts with a girl under age 14."

Kuhlmeyer, known on-the-air as "Ron Kirk", was a co-anchor and reporter for KZST and KJZY. Prior to that he worked for KSRO.

#6 - DJ Attacked - Eyes Cut Out

I know that being a club DJ is not exactly like being a DJ on a radio station but I did both simultaneously when I was starting out and a story like this is hard to ignore.

According to news4jax.com: "Jacksonville police are trying to find a man who they said attacked a disc jockey after an altercation at a bar and cut the man's eyes out." It was a pretty gruesome attack and the DJ "...had life-threatening injuries and both of his eyes were protruding from his face."

#5 - BBC Radio 4 Host Denies Drugging, Raping Man
(Wednesday February 6, 2008)

If it's true as the testimony claims, a vile incident indeed for a BBC Radio 4 host. According to guardian.co.uk: "A BBC Radio 4 presenter accused of drugging and raping a man he met at a party was described in court today as 'revolting' and a 'bully' by his alleged victim. The 27-year-old man told an Old Bailey jury he felt 'violated' when Nigel Wrench, a presenter on the PM programme, forced him to perform a sex act hours after they met at a New Year party."

#4 - Man Didn't Like Song Selections, Torched Radio Station
(Wednesday January 30, 2008)

According to chron.com: "A volunteer at a community radio station set fire to the station because he was upset that his song selections for an overnight Internet broadcast were changed, police said." Paul Webster Feinstein, 24, was arrested on an arson charge for a fire on January 5 that caused $300,000 in damages. The target of his disaffection was KOOP which is heard on 91.7 FM.
