'Queen is Dead' Joke Gets BBC Radio DJ Suspended
The BBC was apologizing earlier this year for a "joke" by Danny Kelly, afternoon host on BBC WM, a radio station located in central England. Apparently, he told his audience that Queen Elizabeth II had died while accentuating the announcement with the national anthem. Nothing like giving most of the population a group heart-attack.

Shocking: Radio Ads by White Supremacist Running for Senator
KMBZ radio in Kansas City had one big headache: a political candidate, Glenn Miller (a white supremacist), was running as a write-in candidate for Missouri U.S. Senator and his radio ads were highly offensive. According to kmbc.com: "In one of the ads, Miller said, 'But you don't care, do you, Whitey? All you care about is satisfying your belly, pocketbook, genitals and watching the coons play ball on television.'"

Man Walks into Radio Station with Gun Seeking Radio DJ
Some guy with a sawed-off shotgun entered KBEZ's building in Tulsa, Oklahoma demanding to speak with radio personality, Carly Rush. 92.9 KBEZ plays "Today's Variety and Yesterday's Favorites!". Rush is co host on the Steve & Carly in the Mornings show and also is on solo from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thanks to the quick actions of a secretary who left the room and called police, 58-year-old Barry Styles was taken into custody, but not until he was shot three times after brandishing the gun to responding police.

Howard Stern Sidekick Attempted Suicide
Upi.com cited the New York Post in a news story divulging Artie Lange's attempted suicide. "U.S. comedian and radio personality Artie Lange stabbed himself nine times," writes upi.com. Lange's mother discovered the performer bleeding in his New Jersey apartment. 911 was summoned and Lange was taken to a hospital and treated for "six 'hesitation wounds' and three deep incisions," according to a source.
