Beginnings: Began his Radio career after graduation from college with a degree in sociology. His first job was as a newsman in Montgomery, Alabama at WRMA-AM. From there he went to Memphis, St. Louis, Dallas, and Chicago
Claim to Fame: "The hardest working man in Radio" also known as the "Fly Jock" for when he held down two different radio jobs at once in two different cities and commuted, by plane, each day between his morning job in Dallas at KKDA-FM and his afternoon gig in Chicago at WGCI-FM. Also, Joyner became the first African American to be elected into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1998.
