Personal: Edwards was born May 16, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. He's married to Sharon Edwards and they haves two daughters, Eleanor and Susannah, and a stepson, Brean Campbell. Edwards is a graduate of the University of Louisville.
Radio: "The Bob Edwards Show" is currently the flagship program on XM Public Radio, channel 133 on XM Satellite Radio.
Prior to joining XM, Edwards hosted National Public Radio's (NPR) Morning Edition for nearly 25 years, attracting more than 13 million listeners weekly.
Awards: Bob Edwards has won the duPont-Columbia Award for radio journalism, the George Foster Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding contributions to public radio.
