Radio: Brandmeier is doing mornings on WGN/Chicago as of December 9, 2011. At the time he signed a two-year contract.
He started his career at WFON in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin in 1973 and later worked at WOSH-AM/Oshkosh, WYNE-AM/Appleton, KLIV-AM/San Jose, WYBR-FM/Rockford, and WOKY-AM/Milwaukee.
His career began to fast-track after being hired into KSSP-FM/Phoenix in 1981. He stepped up to WLUP/Chicago in 1983 where he stayed for 14-years.
After WLUP, Brandmeier worked for a short time at WCKG/Chicago and then KLSX/Los Angeles and KCBS/FM/Lost Angeles.
An attempt at syndicating his show did not work out and Brandmeier took a break from radio.
In 2005, he went back to WLUP/Chicago until he was eventually release from his contract on November 30, 2009.
Claim to Fame: The song "We're All Crazy in Chicago" (a local Top Ten Hit) with his band The Leisure Suits.
