Famous American DJ, Casey Kasem, is known best for his “countdown” program. He was the original host of “American Top 40” which he hosted beginning July 4, 1970 until December, 2003 when he was replaced by Ryan Seacrest.

But, Kasem is remembered by many as creating possibly the most famous radio outtakes of all when he was recording his tracks for his weekly program and lost it over a dedication for a dead dog.
