The award honors women in New York City radio, broadcast television and cable who project professional excellence and community commitment in the workplace and where they live.
The three Golden Apple winners in each category are:
Radio: Valerie Smaldone, Mid-day host, WLTW-FM, 106.7
Television: Janice Huff, Meteorologist, WNBC-TV, Channel 4
Cable: Ellen Schned, Senior Vice President, Affiliate Ad Sales and Marketing, Court TV
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2006 in the Lenox Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in New York City.
