Longtime BBC Radio 2 Presenter John Dunn Has Died

BBC Radio 2 veteran broadcaster, John Dunn, has died of cancer. He was 70.

Dunn first became interested in radio while serving with the Royal Air Force.

He joined BBC Radio 2 in 1967 and remained with the operation until his death.

Dunn was chosen Radio Personality of the Year three times during his career. In 1968 he was awarded the Gold Sony Radio Award.

Positions Dunn held during his tenure at Radio 2 included presenter for "Breakfast Special", "Late Night Extra", and "Drivetime".

John Dunn made history when he broadcast his show live from Antarctica.

Dunn is survived by a wife and two daughters.
