The Windy City's WSCR, 670 The Score announced today that popular Chicago broadcaster Steve Stone, who most recently was the voice of the Chicago Cubs, will join the station for a host of baseball duties.

Steve Stone will host his own weekly program as well as contribute to The Score’s other programs and baseball coverage with his "up close and personal" take on Chicago Baseball.

“Nobody knows baseball better than Steve Stone,” said Paul Agase, WSCR General Manager/Director of Sales Infinity Chicago.

“Baseball has always been my passion,” said Stone, who spent 11 seasons in the big leagues and 21 more as the lead analyst on Cubs television broadcasts. “I’m excited to continue to do what I love in a city that holds a special place in my heart.”

Stone’s career highlights include playing for the San Francisco Giants (1971-72), Chicago Cubs (1973-76), Chicago White Sox (1977-78), and Baltimore Orioles (1979-81).

Stone was the broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs 1983-2004.
