"The Delphi XM Roady is designed for consumers who want a very stylish radio at a very attractive price," said Hugh Panero, President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio."

Weighing just five ounces, the Roady is nearly 40 percent smaller than previous portable models. Roady's small size makes it simple to integrate into the vehicle's control panel with a wide range of placement options. The easy-to-install Roady receiver plugs into the cassette player of a vehicle's stereo system. For vehicles without cassette players, a wireless adaptor for the Roady will be available next month for only $29.99 (MSRP).

The Roady receiver has a display screen with options to show the name of the artist, song and channel currently playing on XM Radio. It has a scroll wheel that allows immediate access to adjacent channels, ten direct-entry buttons, and capability for 30 preset channels. The unit has a special feature called TuneSelect™ that remembers songs that you hear on XM and alerts you when they appear on another channel.

In addition to the Roady, Delphi manufactures the Delphi XM SKYFi receiver for use in the home, vehicle or with the SKYFi Audio System boombox.

At the time of this writing, the XM subscription cost is $9.99 per month.
