According to the latest Arbitron Internet Broadcast Ratings, WLS-AM, Chicago is the top News/Talk Internet Broadcast Station with 174,064 hours of Total Time Spent Listening (TTSL) for the week of August 11.
(TTSL is the sum total of hours tuned by listeners to a given station or network.)
MUSICMATCH Artist Match was the top non-commercial Internet Broadcast Station with 595,527 hours of TTSL. AOL Top Country ranked highest commercial Internet Broadcast Station with 279,116 hours of TTSL.
AOL Radio@Network and LAUNCH were the top-ranked commercial Internet broadcasters with 5,945,898 and 3,220,546 hours of TTSL, respectively. MUSICMATCH was the top-ranked non-commercial Internet Broadcaster with 1,739,554 hours of TTSL. The Adsertion Network was the top sales network with 1,142,127 hours of TTSL.
The top Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for the week of August 11 were Live365 with 2,288,089 TTSL and StreamGuys with 437,887 TTSL. The Total Time Spent Listening for these Content Delivery Networks is the sum of all tuning to stations streamed by the CDN including commercial and non-commercial stations.
Arbitron says its Internet Broadcast Ratings were not directly impacted by the blackout of Thursday, August 14, and Friday, August 15. However, audience estimates for some Internet Broadcasters are lower than prior weeks because end users may not have been able to tune in during the power outage.
Demographic Highlights for the Week of August 11 – August 17
12 percent of the week’s total listening took place during the weekend.
85 percent of the measured listeners were between the ages of 18 and 54.
70 percent of listeners were men; 30 percent were women.
