The "Opie and Anthony" controversy continues as people wonder if their recent stunt where a couple had sex in St. Patrick's Cathedral has finally pushed radio content over an acceptable "line."

"Inside Radio", a trade publication, is reporting today that "Communications attorney John Garziglia says the scandal 'could be the tipping point for content control', where material offensive to a religious group, race, gender, nationality or other group might affect a station's renewal expectancy."

In a recent article, I asked readers to give their opinion. Here is some reaction:

From Joseph J Bauza: " I want you to know that I am filing a complaint against Infinity Broadcasting with the FCC, Senators Arlen Spector, Rick Santorium, and with my Congressman Joseph Hoeffle. This type of decadence in society cannot be promoted or tolerated. From now until the end I will NEVER EVER listen to Radio station WYSP 94 in Philadelphia again. May those people involved burn in hell for eternity!!"

Jean Mazzola writes: "OOOOH SHURE THE CHURCH GET'S UPSET AT THIS! This was a MAN AND A WOMAN haveing sex and as we all well know the priests in the cathoilic church look down on this type of action. [The Catholic] CHURCH [is] trying to push the spot light away from there EVIL ,SICK,WARPED preists that are being "FAULSELY ACUSESED (said by some shmuck in the boston church)" If they take down OPIE AND ANTHONY DOING IT ALL THE BETTER but I find it odd that these two funny guy are being railroaded by the PEDIPHIL PROTECTION ASSOSIATION oops i mean the catholic church into serius trouble BUT THATS JUST MY OPION I COULD BE WRONG"

From Gillis_E: "I think you should spend your time more constructively than bothering with Opie and Anthony. Why don't you go after all of those religious shows that steal money from people? Opie and Anthony actually give you something, a laugh, and they don't ask for you to send money for it! Get your priorities straight people!"
