"I disagree that WNEW was in danger of losing their license. Howard Stern has done plenty of outrageous things, and I wish Infinity had the balls to stand up to the FCC. What in the world do you have to do for something to be "patently offensive" to 7 million New Yorkers. Answer- there is nothing you can do...I am very happy that Opie & Anthony continue to get paid on their newly signed contract, giving heartburn and headaches to those gutless Infinity bosses every time they have to sign the Dastardly Duo's paychecks. Ideally, franchised station owners will own a 10-zip code sales territory. Air talent will be home-based audio producers who will create their shows on their own computer using the resources of RVILLE to include online music libraries, production beds, sound effects, and imaging packages for member stations.
