On this day in 1956 comedian Fred Allen died at age 61. He was a frequent star on the "Colgate Comedy Hour" and host of the "Fred Allen Radio Show".

On this day in 1960, Vicki Lewis was born in Cincinnati Ohio. She's the actress who played the character of "Beth" on the TV show "Newsradio".

On this day in 2004, J.J. Jackson died of a heart attack at age 62. Jackson, originally a radio DJ, was also one of the first "VJs" on MTV when it first launched in 1981.
