Personal: Star's real name is Troi Torain.

Both met while columnists at Source Magazine.
In 1998, Star & Buc Wild launched their cable access show, "Universal Haters". MTV quickly picked up the show, changing the name to "MTV's Beat Suite".
From there in 2000, they began mornings at WQHT-FM, New York (Hot 97).
The duo joined Clear Channel Radio in March 2004 and began syndicating their show on R&B stations in Hartford, Augusta and Philadelphia.
In January, 2005 Star and Buc Wild started doing mornings at WWPR-FM, New York (Power 105.1).
On May 11, 2005, Star was fired from Power 105 after making sexually and racially charged remarks about a rival DJ's wife and daughter. The rest of the morning show was suspended.
On November 28, 2008 Mega Media Group issued a press release announcing the company would flip the current programming on 87.7 FM to "Pulse 87" and also bring back the Star & Buc Wild Show on January 15, 2008.
Claim to Fame: While at Hot 97, they became the first New York radio show to beat Howard Stern in a decade.
