Ron Chapman
Radio/TV:
Chapman began his Dallas-Ft. career at KLIF in 1959 where he was first a member of "Murphy and Harrigan" then he teamed up with with Jack Woods to form the first "Charlie and Harrigan" team.
Chapman was featured on WFAA-TV Channel 8's "Sump'N Else" Show in the mid 1960s
From there he joined KVIL-AM in 1960 where he remained for 32 years.
He jumped to to WFAA-TV, and then - for what turned out to be a 32-year run - KVIL in 1968.
From 2000 until June, 24, 2005, Chapman did mornings at Oldies Radio 98.7 KLUV-FM.
Claim to Fame:The KLUV website stated: Statistics have shown Ron to be "The Most Listened to Morning Radio Personality in the History of the Southwest.
Awards: A 2004 Inductee into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame
