Radio: Chris Moyles began in Radio at age 16 where he was employed on Aire FM, Leeds, England. Afterwards, he spent 6 years on Radio Luxembourg and Capital FM in London.
On July 28, 1997, Moyles took on the pre-breakfast show at Radio 1, a program that begins at 4 AM. He called himself "The Saviour of Early Morning Radio".
In 1998, Moyles was moved to the late afternoon show on Radio 1. His program featured "Comedy Dave" and Wil, his producer.
The BBC describes his act as "laddish humour and a lack of deference".
In October, 2003, Moyles was named host of the breakfast show on Radio 1 - one of the most prestigious positions in British Radio.
Awards: In 1997, Moyles was voted as one of the "Faces for '97" by Sky Magazine. In 1998 he received the Silver Sony Radio Award for "DJ of the Year". In 2003, he was voted most irritating DJ in a national survey.
