Roland Martin

Personal: Martin is a 1987 graduate of Jack Yates High School-Magnet School of Communications, and a 1991 graduate of Texas A&M University. He holds a Journalism degree. He is married to the Rev. Jacquie Hood Martin.

Radio: Heard Monday thru Friday, 6 a.m. - 9 a.m. on WVON, Chicago. Roland Martin also worked as a reporter for KRLD and KKDA-AM in Dallas. Martin is a journalist, author, commentator, and frequent guest on news programs.

Awards: In 2008, Ebony Magazine named him one of the 150 Most Influential African Americans in the United States, 2008 winner of the NAACP Image Award for Best Interview. In addition, Martin has won more than 20 other journalism awards.
