NAL - Notice of Apparent Liability

Definition: A Notice of Apparent Liability and Order ("Notice") is issued by the Federal Communications Commission when it finds a station or radio company liable for a fine under legislated laws or agency regulations. The station or company issued the NAL is permitted 30 days either to pay the proposed fine or to respond in writing.
