America Online®’s Radio@ Network – which encompasses Radio@AOL, Radio@AOL for Broadband, Radio@Netscape and Spinner.com – was ranked as the number one Internet Broadcast Network with 4,529,786 hours of Total Time Spent Listening (TTSL - total number of hours tuned to a given station or network in the reported time period.) for the week of June 9, according to Arbitron Internet Broadcast Ratings.

LAUNCH, the music destination on Yahoo!, was ranked the number two Internet Broadcast Network with 2,957,618 hours of TTSL – the sum total of hours tuned by listeners to a given station or network. Live365 was ranked number three with 2,574,425 hours of TTSL.

MUSICMATCH Artist Match was ranked the number one individual Internet radio station with 445,658 hours of TTSL. WQXR-FM was ranked number two with 222,870 hours of TTSL and AOL’s Smooth Jazz was ranked number three with 209,691 hours of TTSL.

Demographic Highlights for the Week of June 9 – June 15

The peak listening days were Monday, June 9, through Thursday, June 12, with 18 percent of the week’s online listening each day.

77 percent of weekly online listening took place between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific time.

11 percent of the week’s total listening took place during the weekend.

85 percent of the measured listeners were between the ages of 18 and 54.

69 percent of listeners were men; 31 percent were women.

In the U.S., 33 percent of listeners resided in the South; 30 percent in the West; 19 percent in the Northeast; and 18 percent in the Midwest.
