The trade magazine, FMQB, reports Dees said, "It's an honor and a privilege to host the number one revenue-generating radio show of its kind in America."
He continued, "God put you and me together each morning, and what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. I really do love you, and I pray for you and your family each day before I begin this radio show. God bless you from the heart of this microphone, and thanks."
Rumors that Ryan Seacrest would be replacing Dees have been circulating for a few weeks now.
Dees says he will continue to host Rick Dees Weekly Top 40.
