By , About.com Guide

Chris Moyles, the Radio personality recently picked to take over Radio 1's sagging Breakfast Show, has apparently been losing listeners during his current afternoon gig - to the tune of 700,000 - reports scotsman.com.

In the past 4 months, Moyles has lost 11% of his listeners age "4 plus".

Moyles is scheduled to move into the mornings at the first of the years.

The British press have been beating him up with headlines. The SUN wrote, "Radio 1 DJ Is A Loser", The Herald said, "Radio 1's Savior Is A Big Turnoff", the Daily Record wrote, "Brekkie Show 'Savior' Leaking Listeners" and ThisIsLondon.com said, "Radio 1's Moyles Under Pressure".
