Arbitron Internet Broadcast Ratings for Week October 6, 2003

<P class=head>MUSICMATCH Artist Match was ranked as the number one Internet radio station and top non-commercial station with 721,752 hours of Total Time Spent Listening (TTSL*) for the week of October 6, according to Arbitron Internet Broadcast Ratings.

AOL Top Country was ranked as the highest commercial Internet Broadcast Station with 290,748 hours of TTSL, the sum total of hours tuned in by listeners to a given station or network.

AOL Radio@Network and LAUNCH were the top-ranked commercial Internet Broadcasters with 6,237,229 and 4,263,808 hours of TTSL, respectively. MUSICMATCH was the top-ranked non-commercial Internet Broadcaster with 2,123,567 hours of TTSL.

Demographic Highlights for the Week of October 6 – October 12

  • The peak listening day was Wednesday, October 8, with 19 percent of the week’s online listening.
  • 77 percent of weekly online listening took place between 5AM and 5PM Pacific Time.
  • 12 percent of the week’s total listening took place during the weekend.
  • 83 percent of the measured listeners were between the ages of 18 and 54.
  • 70 percent of listeners were men; 30 percent were women.
  • In the U.S., 35 percent of listeners resided in the South; 31 percent in the West; 18 percent in the Northeast; and 16 percent in the Midwest.
